Whether you are a manufacturer, service organisation or retailer, a one-man band or one of our large employers, your company should be part of it.
Chamber members include manufacturers, service organisations, professionals and retailers - a broad mix of the business sector.
The Chamber is represented on a number of local bodies and maintains close liaison with the Town, District and County Councils. There are active retail and industry committees, and the chamber is also involved in the organisation of trade exhibitions which provide a platform for companies to both sell and to recruit staff.
A monthly newsletter keeps members in touch with association matters and with local events and activities.
Each month the chamber holds a lunch meeting where members hear from prominent speakers and meet fellow members in an informal atmosphere, to discuss issues of common interest, and raise points of action. These lunches provide an opportunity for business networking and for new companies to gain a foothold in the local market.
Socially, the chamber organises sports events, quiz evenings, an annual dinner and occasional skillts events and visits.
